Millions expected to suffer from interference.
Thousands of British homes will have to be reconnected to the television network – at a cost of up to £10,000 a time – after it emerged that interference from the new 4th-generation mobile phone network would wipe out their TV signals.
More than two million households near new base stations will suffer problems ranging from distortion to complete blackouts when the networks begin to share the spectrum currently used by digital terrestrial television (DTT) in the middle of next year.
Ministers will be forced to spend £180m on re-establishing television services to those homes closest to the base stations. The communications minister Ed Vaizey has confirmed that the 500 worst-affected households will receive up to £10,000 each from a special fund put together to deal with widespread 4G interference expected in the coming years.
Critics including MPs, broadcasters and unions have warned that families who rely on Freeview will find themselves victims of the lucrative auction of 4G licences within months.

Mel Angst/Artisan Tattoo Gallery
A Pittsburgh-area tattoo parlor owner says she saved some money by using real money to tile her space — with 250,000 pennies.
Mel Angst was looking for an inspired way to tile the floor of the Garfield, Pa. tattoo gallery, Artisan, which she runs with her husband, tattoo artist Jason Angst.
“My floor is made out of about 250,000 pennies,” Angst told ABC Pittsburgh affiliate WTAE. “Amazingly enough, it’s a lot cheaper to glue money to your floor than to actually buy tile. It’s about $3 a square foot.”
Angst said that after she found the appropriate adhesive to affix the pennies to the floor of her shop, she then found people via Facebook to log the man hours. She bartered tiling labor for $10 off per hour on tattoo work, she told ABCNews.com.
“Some days it was just me,” she said. “I think the most we ever had was 7, but on average, (we have) 3 or 4 people a day for about 10 to 16 hours a day for about three weeks straight, gluing these down … People are just shocked that we did it because it took about 300 man hours, which was crazy.”
In total there will be approximately 800 square feet of Lincoln profiles.
Artisan had a gallery show last week where people could view the new floor, and Angst looks forward to next week, when it will be grouted, shined and completed. Once it is done, everyone that logged 30 hours of penny-tiling is promised a free penny tattoo from the shop.
The gallery plans to partner with Tazza D’Oro and open a coffee shop inside the space this spring.

“In general, we have shown that we are not quite as unique as we once thought. Our solar system closely resembles other observable planetary systems within our galaxy. In this way, our results serve to corroborate other research results which indicate that earth-like planets are more widespread in the universe than previously believed,” says Professor Martin Bizzarro, head of the Centre for Star and Planet Formation at University of Copenhagen.
Some 4.567 billion years ago, our solar system’s planets formed from an expansive disc of gas and dust rotating around the sun. While similar processes have been observed in younger solar systems throughout the Milky Way, the formative stages of our own solar system were believed to have taken twice as long to occur. New research led by the team at the Centre for Star and Planet Formation shows that our solar system is not quite as special as once believed.
Using improved methods of analysis of uranium and lead isotopes, the current study of primitive meteorites has enabled researchers to date the formation of two very different types of materials, so-called calcium-aluminum-rich inclusions (or CAI’s for short) and chondrules, found within the same meteorite. By doing so, the chronology and therefore overall understanding of our solar system’s development has been altered. The study has just been published in the scientific journal, Science.
The researchers took a closer look at the first three million years of the solar system’s development by analysing primitive meteorites composed of a blend of our solar system’s very oldest materials. In part, the study confirmed previous analyses demonstrating that CAI’s were formed during a very short period of time. The new discovery is that the so-called chondrules were formed during the first three million years of the solar system’s development as well. This stands in contrast with previous assumptions asserting that chondrules only started forming roughly two million years after CAIs.
“By using this process to date the formation of these two very different types of materials found in the same meteorite, we are not only able to alter the chronology of our solar system’s historical development, we are able to paint a new picture of our solar system’s development, which is very much like the picture that other researchers have observed in other planetary systems,” says James Connelly of the Centre for Star and Planet Formation.*Showing that chondrules are as old as CAIs addresses a long-standing question of why chondrule formation should be delayed by up to 2 million years after CAIs. The answer – it is not.
The NASA artist’s concept at top of the page shows a faraway solar system like our own — except for one big difference. Planets and asteroids circle around not one, but two suns. NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope found evidence that such solar systems might be common in the universe.

Who has not noticed how intense the sun now feels? Who has not noticed how quickly it begins to burn the skin? Many have also begun to notice plants and trees which are having their foliage burned. This is not your imagination and the seriousness of this ever worsening fact can not be overstated.
There is in fact now a massive Northern Hemisphere ozone hole that appears to be growing and worsening by the day. So why don’t we hear a thing about this dire issue? Because the science community is being threatened into complete silence and the main stream media is all to effective at sweeping the “lump” under the rug. No matter how big the lump is.
SAG (stratospheric aerosol geoengineering) and SRM (solar radiation management) AKA, “chemtrails”, are virtually shredding the ozone layer day in and day out. The harsh reality of these ongoing atmospheric spraying programs is evident for any that look up and bother to do the slightest bit of objective investigation. In addition to the ongoing ozone decimation the toxic particulates that are literally saturating our atmosphere are completely disrupting global weather and rainfall patterns, causing extreme drought in many places, and deluge in others.
Then of course there is the fact that what goes up must come down. All they spray settles in the air column where each and every one of us then inhales it in with every breath. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adiminstration) recently did a study which admitted to the that the atmosphere was filled with particulates in recent decades and they had no idea where they were all coming from. Really? There are many studies which make clear the ozone destruction that “would” be caused IF geoengineering were to be carried out, but none admit to the ever larger elephant in the room which is the ongoing global geoengineering/chemtrail spraying.
